Understanding your symptoms
Different concerns. Individual care.
The same diagnosis can affect people differently. We look at your symptoms, health history and movement before recommending a plan.
01
Neck pain & cervical spondylosis
Stiffness can make turning your head or getting through the day uncomfortable. Age-related changes in the neck do not always cause pain.
Our focusUnderstand what limits you and plan movement around your comfort and goals.
02
Cervical disc concerns
Bring any existing scan reports or diagnosis of a disc bulge or prolapse. We consider these alongside your symptoms and examination.
Our focusDiscuss suitable rehabilitation and whether further medical input is needed.
03
Pain travelling into the arm
Tell us about arm pain, tingling, numbness or weakness, including a diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy or brachial neuralgia.
Our focusAssess your symptoms carefully; new or worsening weakness needs prompt medical review.
04
Desk-related strain & muscle sensitivity
Long workdays, phone use or persistent muscle tenderness can make the neck and shoulders feel tired. Tell us if you also have fibromyalgia.
Our focusFind manageable activity, movement breaks and practical adjustments that fit your routine.
05
Jaw pain & restricted movement
The temporomandibular joints (TMJs) connect your jaw to your skull. Pain, stiffness or locking can interfere with eating and talking.
Our focusAssess jaw function and consider gentle rehabilitation alongside dental or medical care when needed.
06
Clenching & diagnosed TMJ arthritis
Share any dental diagnosis, morning jaw discomfort or difficulty chewing. Jaw symptoms can have different causes.
Our focusCoordinate care where appropriate and work towards more comfortable everyday jaw movement.
07
Dizziness alongside neck pain
Dizziness should not automatically be attributed to your neck. Inner-ear conditions, medicines and other health problems can cause similar symptoms.
Our focusDiscuss medical assessment first where needed. Any rehabilitation depends on the assessment findings, rather than assuming cervicogenic dizziness.
Assessment to progress
Understand. Move. Build confidence.
Your goals guide the plan—whether that means turning your head more comfortably, managing a workday or easing difficulty with jaw movement.
01
Start with a careful assessment
Tell us about your symptoms, daily routine and medical or dental history. We assess relevant movement and function, explain our findings and discuss whether another clinician should be involved.
02
Find a comfortable starting point
Together, we choose a manageable starting point. Gentle hands-on care or symptom-relief treatments may support the plan when suitable; no machine or technique is automatic.
03
Build strength and movement
Practise the neck, shoulder or jaw movements selected for you. We explain what to do between visits and adjust the plan as we review your comfort and function.
04
Make progress part of daily life
Review what is helping and what remains difficult. Practical advice may cover work breaks, screen setup, sleep comfort and awareness of jaw-clenching habits.
Care that listens

We explain your plan, welcome questions and review how treatment is helping you function in daily life.
Painless clicking is common and usually does not need treatment. Pain, locking or difficulty opening your mouth deserves assessment by a dentist or suitable clinician.
Can physiotherapy help neck and jaw symptoms together?+
Where appropriate, care may include guided movement, hands-on treatment and advice about habits such as clenching. Your assessment determines whether physiotherapy, dental care or medical review is the right next step.
Is dizziness caused by my neck?+
Not necessarily. Dizziness has many possible causes, so do not self-diagnose it as a neck problem. Seek medical advice if it persists or keeps returning.
Will I need traction or surgery?+
Neither is a routine choice for everyone. We discuss suitable options after assessment and refer when medical or specialist care is needed. Physiotherapy cannot promise to prevent surgery or reverse a scan finding.
How many sessions will I need?+
We agree an initial plan around your goals and review your response. There is no fixed course or recovery time that suits everyone.
What should I bring to my first visit?+
Bring any relevant medical or dental reports, scan results and a medicine list. Wear comfortable clothing and tell us what has become difficult, from turning your head to eating a meal.
